TURGUTREISTurgutreis it is located in 20 kilometers from the Bodrum, in a fertile valley with numerous orchards and kitchen gardens. Name of Turgutreis has received in honor of the outstanding admiral who has born here in XVI century of Ottoman Empire Turgut the Flight known in Europe under name Dragut.It has become famous for Turks of island Malta thanks to participation in a long siege. In several kilometers from a city, on seacoast, there is a monument marking a place, whence Turgut Reys has sailed away for the first time in the sea. Modern Turgutreis is large municipality and an active commercial centre of the Bodrum's peninsula. Production from neighboring villages is brought here for sorting and the further transportation on the country. All local enterprises - shops, service services, the trading companies - extraordinary prosper. However, Turgutreis - not only a business city. Intensive economic development has allowed it to turn to developed enough resort. Tourists are waited here by the wide sandy beach surrounded mandarin with groves, comfortable hotels, modern shopping centers, fashionable night clubs, coastal restaurants and the bars filled with special Turkish color.  Building modern marina on 550 yachts was one of points of the plan of further arrangement Turgutreis.
The considerable quantity of the islands scattered in the sea opposite Turgutreis suffices, reliably protect a city from the whole gales coming from the West.
